Might be Time to try Image Ads with Google Adsense Again

For a long time I have preached about using only text based ads within Google AdSense...and I would still stand behind that given the same stats at that time...the revenue and CTR statistics proved it out. However, in the last few weeks or months, Google has brought on many more ways to fill their image and flash ad pools. They have brought on some third party ad suppliers and provided more ad types for advertisers to use. Given this information, I figured I'd slap fate in the face and try image and flash ads again just to see what happens.

Well, something in their system has changed, it has substantially increased my revenue, and from analyzing the reports, the one of the two, either image of flash ads, are almost always the top earning type, with text ads being second, and the other of image or flash, being third. They also have some dynamic image and HTML ad types that I can't be sure of what they are from the AdWords side, as I have never used them, but they are always at the bottom.

With this new found revenue source, I would suggest any publisher of Google AdSense at least try to re-enable image and flash ads for a few days and watch and see what happens.

Whatever happens, it'd be cool if you'd post the results here, as I'd kind of like to know myself.
